The type VII C was the best known and most frequently built German submarine in the Second World War. Equipped with four front and one rear torpedo the VII C was a feared weapon that formed the backbone of the Battle of the Atlantic. The Hawker Hurricane achieved its greatest successes in 1940 in the Battle of Britain and was active in all theatres of war. Heavily armed with 20 mm cannon the Mk IIC version could also be equipped with bombs and auxiliary tanks. In total over 4,700 of the Mk IIC were built.
The UH-1D is the most built helicopter in the western world with over 7000 built machines. It has an excellent reputation, is considered to be one of the safest aircraft and can also carry bulky loads through two large sliding doors on the side. The German Air Force uses its UH-1D primarily for SAR missions in order to comply with international safety obligations.
